Mr. Pyle earned a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Tennessee Temple University and a master's degree in Educational Administration from Pensacola Christian College.

He has been involved in Christian education for 51 years as a teacher, Christian school administrator, and as the Sales Manager for Abeka Book, Inc. Mr. Pyle retired from Abeka in July of 2023 but has returned in a part-time capacity to help serve the schools of Brazil.

At the first Christian school where Mr. Pyle was in charge of making curriculum decisions, he chose Abeka and from then on, his schools used the Abeka curriculum exclusively. He likes to tell people that he was sold on Abeka before they paid him to sell the curriculum.
