  • Can anyone purchase Digital Textbooks?

    Digital Textbooks will be available to both schools and A Beka Book homeschoolers.

  • How do I get Digital Textbooks?

    Digital Textbooks will be sold on the A Beka Book website. After purchase, a code will be issued to be redeemed at the platform provider’s website or through a mobile app. A Beka Digital Textbooks will be licensed for twelve months.

  • Can students access their Digital Textbook over multiple devices?

    Yes. Digital Textbooks can be used on multiple devices (e.g., PC, iPad, tablet, or other mobile device) and on multiple platforms (e.g., Windows, iOS, and Android).

  • Will study notes transfer across multiple devices?

    Notes, highlights, and last page read will automatically sync across all devices.

  • Are Digital Textbooks cost-effective?

    Yes. You will see a significant savings compared to the cost of printed books.

  • What are the device system recommendations for Digital Textbooks?

    An updated version of Internet Explorer (IE 10+), Chrome, Safari, or Firefox and a DSL Internet connection are recommended. Also, make sure that you have the most recent versions of Adobe Flash and Java installed for your browser.

  • Can I see an example of a Digital Textbook?

  • What subjects will be available?

    The available subjects are listed on the A Beka Book website. Sign up for product updates for up-to-date notification.

  • Are Digital Teaching Aids useful for homeschoolers?

    Yes. Both schools and homeschoolers can use Digital Teaching Aids to engage their students and clarify concepts.

  • Are Digital Teaching Aids interactive?

    DTAs are not interactive, but they are a combination of animations, videos, and static images.

  • How do I get Digital Teaching Aids?

    You may purchase Digital Teaching Aids on the A Beka Book website. After your purchase, you can download the entire set for the textbook or lesson-by-lesson as needed. You don’t need an Internet connection to access your Teaching Aids once they’re downloaded.

  • What’s included in my purchase?

    Your purchase will include every Digital Teaching Aid corresponding to the textbook you’ve chosen. You can use your Digital Teaching Aids for any classroom application as many times in the years ahead as you’d like.

  • Will there be updates or additions after the initial release?

    The Teaching Aids will be as comprehensive as possible for each textbook upon release. Revised and expanded Digital Teaching Aids will be released with the corresponding revised textbook.

  • Are Digital Teaching Aids cost-effective?

    Your purchase of every Digital Teaching Aid for an entire textbook will cost a fraction of the price of a teacher’s edition.

  • What presentation software can I use with Digital Teaching Aids?

    Digital Teaching Aids are broadly compatible with your favorite presentation software that supports .mov, .mp4, and .flv file formats, whether you’re running the software on a computer, tablet, or other mobile device.

  • What are the computer system recommendations for downloading Digital Teaching Aids?

    Minimum system recommendations are a DSL Internet connection and an updated version of Internet Explorer (IE 10+), Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.

Digital Assessments

These FAQs are provided to give you advance clarification of features.

  • How are the on-line and bubble sheet assessments computer graded?

    Objective questions are scored by computer, while subjective questions need to be graded manually. There is no need to purchase an optical scanning machine to grade bubble sheets; just scan the bubble sheets on a regular scanner and upload the file into A Beka Digital Assessments for grading.

  • How do I see my students’ scores?

    You may view or download test and quiz results immediately in Digital Assessments.

  • Do I still need to use a grade book or learning management system?

    Yes. You will need a grade book or learning management system so that grades can be weighted and averaged.

  • What types of reports are available on the Digital Assessments program?

    Teachers and administrators can run assessment results reports, class diagnostics, question analysis, and proficiency reports.

  • For what subjects or grades will Digital Assessments be available?

    All subjects and grades can use the test authoring module. Pre-authored A Beka tests and questions, along with access to an additional question library, are available for grades 7–12 in most core and elective subjects.  

  • Can anyone purchase Digital Assessments?

    Digital Assessments will be available to schools and A Beka Book homeschoolers.

  • Can homeschoolers use Digital Assessments?

    Yes. Homeschoolers will be able to subscribe, take A Beka Book secondary-level subject tests online, and receive an assessment report. Digital Assessments tailored for homeschoolers will be released in 2015. Sign up to receive updates.

  • How are Digital Assessments sold?

    A Beka Digital Assessments are a 12-month subscription sold through the A Beka Book website and catalog.  A link to the assessment portal will be sent upon order completion.

  • Are Digital Assessments cost-effective?

    For a fraction of the cost of teacher keys, you can have assessments for the entire year.

  • What are the computer system recommendations for A Beka Digital Assessments?

    Since there’s no software to download, you’ll need Internet access and an updated version of Internet Explorer (IE 10+), Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. Also, make sure that you have the most recent version of Adobe Flash installed for your browser.

  • Can I share my A Beka Digital Art with other people?

    Digital Art, though you may use it indefinitely, is sold as a single-user license.  Those interested in using Digital Art will be able to purchase it at the A Beka Book website.

  • How do I get Digital Art?

    You’ll be able to purchase a single image or entire collections at the A Beka Book website.

  • What file formats are offered for Digital Art?

    Both full color and line art will be available in PNG or scalable PDF formats.
