These FAQs are provided to give you advance clarification of features.
How are the on-line and bubble sheet assessments computer graded?
Objective questions are scored by computer, while subjective questions need to be graded manually. There is no need to purchase an optical scanning machine to grade bubble sheets; just scan the bubble sheets on a regular scanner and upload the file into A Beka Digital Assessments for grading.
How do I see my students’ scores?
You may view or download test and quiz results immediately in Digital Assessments.
Do I still need to use a grade book or learning management system?
Yes. You will need a grade book or learning management system so that grades can be weighted and averaged.
What types of reports are available on the Digital Assessments program?
Teachers and administrators can run assessment results reports, class diagnostics, question analysis, and proficiency reports.
For what subjects or grades will Digital Assessments be available?
All subjects and grades can use the test authoring module. Pre-authored A Beka tests and questions, along with access to an additional question library, are available for grades 7–12 in most core and elective subjects.
Can anyone purchase Digital Assessments?
Digital Assessments will be available to schools and A Beka Book homeschoolers.
Can homeschoolers use Digital Assessments?
Yes. Homeschoolers will be able to subscribe, take A Beka Book secondary-level subject tests online, and receive an assessment report. Digital Assessments tailored for homeschoolers will be released in 2015. Sign up to receive updates.
How are Digital Assessments sold?
A Beka Digital Assessments are a 12-month subscription sold through the A Beka Book website and catalog. A link to the assessment portal will be sent upon order completion.
Are Digital Assessments cost-effective?
For a fraction of the cost of teacher keys, you can have assessments for the entire year.
What are the computer system recommendations for A Beka Digital Assessments?
Since there’s no software to download, you’ll need Internet access and an updated version of Internet Explorer (IE 10+), Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. Also, make sure that you have the most recent version of Adobe Flash installed for your browser.
