History 4 Video Instruction

Your child will be thrilled to begin history lessons with his new class and inspiring video teacher! From the days of Christopher Columbus to the United States’ involvement in Operation Iraqi Freedom, your student will learn all about United States’ history through these videos. The textbook for this class is The History of Our United States. Charts of the states and presidents plus foundational documents such as the Preamble to the Constitution, the First Amendment, the Gettysburg Address, and more are included in the back of the text for your child to memorize and appreciate for their historical importance. Bold terms, Chapter Checkups, and timelines are provided to help your child remember and apply tips and concepts taught in History 4. A United States map book is also included in this enrollment to aid your child in recognizing all 50 states. To promote creativity and interest in the beauty of your child’s own state, we incorporate a detailed project guide, My State Notebook, filled with prompts and facts about his state that allows him to develop research and reporting skills.

As your child becomes acquainted with his video classmates, he will enjoy feeling as though he is a part of the class. The teacher will even pause to allow “classmates watching” an opportunity to participate during reviews.

The prerecorded online video streaming gives you the flexibility to set your own daily schedule. The video lease provides you with a full 12 months to complete the 170 lessons. This video enrollment kit contains all that you will need for your child to be successful in History 4—the student textbook, textbook answer key, My State Notebook, geography map book and key, test/quiz book and key, video manual, and video lessons. All of these materials work together to give you and your child a successful year of history instruction!
