Give your teenager the opportunity to combine practical instruction in finances from a Christian perspective with other high schoolers! While your student is enjoying the classroom experience, the exciting lessons from their Personal Financial Literacy teacher from Abeka Academy will combine practical instruction and hands-on experience in personal finance as the class covers earning income, considering college, choosing a career, budgeting, buying a car, banking, buying a home, managing credit debt, insurance, and investing. As your student becomes acquainted with the students on the video, they will feel as though they are a part of the class. The teacher will even pause to allow “students watching” opportunity to participate in reviews and drill.
The prerecorded online video streaming or DVDs give you the flexibility to set your own daily schedule. The video lease provides a full 6 months to complete 85 lessons for a semester. You also have the option to purchase either the Video & Books or Video Only (for those who may already have some of the materials and wish to purchase individual items separately). A video manual is provided with either option to help you stay on track with the video teacher. Also, record-keeping progress reports are included with both options to document your student’s progress through the school year.
Abeka Academy offers two different program types to meet your family’s specific needs. The Unaccredited program allows for more course flexibility and relies solely on the home teacher to keep track of student records. For an additional charge, the Accredited program provides official report cards and standardized testing as well as reliable record-keeping by our academic team. With either option, academic assistance is accessible through email, live chat, or phone. Conveniently view our
