Turn everyday household items — even leftover Christmas decorations — into a beautiful handmade angel ornament! The best part? You can customize your angel to match your holiday style.
Supplies:
Small ornament Bulb
Wired Ribbon (Can also use Thick Ribbon)
Thin Ribbon
Small Beads or Pipe Cleaner
Elastic cord or ornament hanger
Glue gun and Glue sticks
Scissors
Ruler
Instructions
1. Cut 2 eight-inch pieces of wired ribbon for the body and 2 sixth-inch pieces of wired ribbon for the wings.
2. Using the hot glue gun, apply glue to the edge of each ribbon, fold in half and pinch together to create a loop. Repeat for all four ribbons.
3. Turn ornament upside down and hot glue the 2 small loops to 1 big loop to create the wings.
4. Place the ornament on top of the wings with hot glue. With the ornament being the head of the angel. Next glue the last large loop to the back to cover the glue. Add a bow to cover up any excess glue.
5. Twist a small piece of pipe cleaner, gold wire, or string into a circle
6. Cut a 10-inch piece of small ribbon and create a loop to attach to the back of the angel with glue. (Tip: you can also use a metal ornament hanger or paper clip) Don’t forget to fluff up your angels wings!
7. Repeat as many times as needed! Perfect to fill out your Christmas tree, or as gifts for family members.
