I want to order standardized tests for my Christian school. Where do I start?
Why not consider Standardized Testing for nationally recognized tests at an affordable price. Below is some information we think will help you with your decision.
Q: WHO CAN ADMINISTER STANDARDIZED TESTS?
A: To become a test administrator, just complete an online application at abeka.com. Your application will acknowledge that you accept the responsibility for sound use of tests, have a bachelor of arts or science degree, and match one of the following descriptions:
a. “I’m a teacher certified by a state department of education to teach in a public school or other conventional school.”
b. “I am or have been a full-time academic classroom teacher in a conventional school (not a homeschool).”
c. “I have viewed the Test Administrator’s Training Video at abeka.com”
Q: WHAT ARE STANDARDIZED ABILITY TESTS?
A: You can use these tests to evaluate your students’ logical thinking, critical reasoning, and other skills related to academic success. Abeka Testing offers two standardized ability tests—the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test and the Cognitive Abilities Test.
Q: WHICH ACHIEVEMENT TEST IS BEST?
A: With Standardized Testing, you can choose between The Iowa Tests and the Stanford 10. Both tests are nationally recognized and effective. But here’s how they’re different:
The Iowa Test:
Not offered online, is timed and different grade levels can test together.
Stanford 10:
Offered online, untimed and grades can test together but have fewer testers than the Iowa test.
Q: WHEN SHOULD I ORDER TESTS?
A: The upcoming spring 2019 testing window is March 4– April 29. Don’t forget that you’ll need to place your order at least 30 days before the testing date you choose.
Q: ARE THERE ANY DISCOUNTS?
A: Yes! You can get discounts off your whole order when you purchase tests in bulk for an entire class. Also, for customers in the United States, shipping is always free.

May 20, 2020Hi Melissa! You can look at our Scope and Sequence to see where your child is at academically. This resource will guide you through the concepts your child will learn in each grade. You can view that here: https://www.abeka.com/HomeSchool/ScopeAndSequence.aspx
