Every homeschool family is unique. Maybe your family has multiple children who have different strengths and needs, so you take an eclectic approach to homeschool – picking what works best for each of your children. Perhaps you feel called to lead your children through their education exclusively with the Abeka curriculum, and you’re using a parent-led approach. Maybe you’re a busy working family who allows our effective video-based teachers to help lighten the load.
No matter why you choose to homeschool, Abeka’s video lessons will enhance your lifestyle, not to mention help your child meet the academic goals they’re striving for. Customize your homeschool experience, use video lessons as a resource or as your primary guide.
Do School Anywhere, Anytime
Video lessons are on-demand and fully flexible to complement your lifestyle. Each video is pre-recorded for streaming or on DVD, so you can do school anywhere and at any time. This means that if you’re sick, traveling, or simply need a break, it’s completely fine to press pause and pick up where you left off whenever you’re ready.
Rewind and Repeat Lessons
In a traditional classroom setting, your child would theoretically be able to ask their teacher to go over a concept again. In reality, they may feel too embarrassed to say they aren’t understanding the lesson. With Abeka video lessons, your child can rewatch the lesson again or watch specific areas within a subject to help gain a clearer understanding of the content. Giving them the confidence to admit when they are confused. Video lessons are a flexible way to never worry your children are falling behind when they have questions – they can learn at their own pace.
Get Help With Lessons When You Need It
One of the most common concerns we hear from homeschool parents is, How to Teach a Tough Subject? While your child believes that you can do everything, sometimes, you might get stuck on the more complex parts of Chemistry or Algebra. Who can blame you? It’s been a while. Video lessons can come to your rescue. Our video lessons are designed to cater to all learning abilities. If there is an area of the curriculum that you are uncomfortable with, these videos get straight to the point and not only help teach your child, but they can refresh your memory on the areas that are a bit rusty. Who knows, once you’ve watched the video yourself, maybe your memory will be jogged, and you’ll be able to help your child if they get stuck on something in the future. You’ll find that your child is drawn into the real classroom setting, and that will help to maintain their focus, ultimately, allowing them to stay engaged when the lessons become challenging. And if you get completely stuck and feel unable to help your child on a part of the lesson, with Abeka Academy you have access to an academic helpline at 1-800-874-3592 so you can call and get clarification on any concept you can’t get a handle on.

October 6, 2019Is anyone else having problems with submitting quizzes and tests online? My granddaughter says that when she goes to submit a quiz or test on Windows 10 using Microsoft Edge that it locks up and doesn't submit the item. Do you know if there is a fix for this? Thanks.

October 20, 2019Hi! I'm considering the Abeka program. Do you have a program where Abeka records the grades and administers tests and quizzes online. And is this an accredited home school program? Thanks, Donna
