Abeka Academy is accredited by two accrediting organizations.

Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools

Abeka Academy Accredited program, having satisfied the accreditation standards of the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS) [1429 Bethel Church Road, Omega, GA31775; Telephone: (850) 422-0065; email: ops@faccs.org] has been awarded the status of Full Accreditation. In keeping with accreditation standards, our video teachers undergo certification through FACCS. Full Accreditation through FACCS provides additional national and state recognition with the following affiliations: The National Council of Private School Accreditation (NCPSA) is a consortium of accrediting associations for the recognition of early childhood, elementary, and secondary private schools and serves as a national review panel for the standards and review procedures of private school accrediting associations.

Florida Association of Academic Nonpublic Schools (FAANS) membership represents all of the major nonpublic school faith-based and non-sectarian Associations in Florida and thus encompasses the majority of the nonpublic schools within Florida. Affiliation with FAANS functions as a vital link between nonpublic schools and the Florida Legislature and the Florida Department of Education.

Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools

Abeka Academy is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA CESS) [3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104; Telephone: (267) 284-5000; email: info@cess-msa.org]. MSA CESS accredits early-childhood through post-secondary institutions throughout the United States and member institutions in more than 85 countries around the world. The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools is recognized by national and international communities as the leader in both improving the quality of education through the accreditation process and affirming to the public the trustworthiness of its accredited members for the twenty-first century.

The cost depends on the grade, number of courses selected, program option chosen, and whether or not books are purchased with the videos.

Additional fees apply in the following situations:

Sales Tax

According to each state’s laws, orders will be charged current state and local sales tax at point of sale. Sales tax is based on Book Value.

The following applies to switching and adding courses for both Accredited and Unaccredited programs:

  • A $50 fee plus applicable materials deposit will be assessed to switch or add courses within 31–60 days of the assigned begin date.
  • Switching/Adding courses is not available after 60 days from the assigned begin date.
  • Materials deposit will be forfeited if materials are not returned within 30 days after requesting a switch.
  • For more details on switching courses, programs, and options please click here or contact the Abeka Office.

Late Student Work

All student work should be kept current to ensure academic progress. If student work is not received within two weeks after the end of each grading period as indicated on the academic calendar, a $20 fee will be assessed for each grading period that is late.

Extensions—Following Assigned End Date

Extension fee is charged if DVDs are not returned for all video purchases or work is not turned in for accredited enrollments.

  • K4–K5 or single-subject video course—$40/month
  • Grades 1–12—$75/month

Work received more than six months following the assigned end date will not be evaluated.

DVD Returns

DVDs are the unconditional property of Abeka and must be returned by the end date of your video period. Failure to do so will prevent future video purchases and may incur additional extension and late return fees. Prepaid Return Service (RS) labels are available online through your Abeka account. For customers who live in the contiguous U.S., a pre-paid return label will be issued from USPS. With this service, after you have affixed your return label to the package, simply place your package in your mailbox or take it to your local Post Office. For international returns, a pre-paid return label will be issued from UPS. (This service is available for U.S., Canada and most foreign countries.) Cost of returning DVDs by any other method is the customer’s responsibility. Abeka is not responsible for any loss or damages incurred in return shipments when using methods other than prepaid USPS (domestic) or UPS (international) Return Service. Packages returned C.O.D. will be returned to the sender.

If all DVDs are not returned by the assigned end date, new enrollments and orders will be delayed.

Here’s what you need to know about cancellations:

How do I cancel?

If you must cancel the program, contact the Abeka Office immediately at 1-877-223-5226 for a return authorization and instructions for canceling.

After contacting Abeka to cancel, all streaming and digital assessments will be suspended and no additional accredited student work will be evaluated.

When can I cancel?

There is a 30-day money-back guarantee on all video instruction and enrollments. If you are not completely satisfied, cancel and return all video materials, regardless of condition, to Abeka within 30 days from the assigned begin date to receive full credit.

Abeka will provide return shipping labels to all customers in the contiguous U.S. as part of the 30-day money-back guarantee.

If all video materials are received between 30 and 60 days of the assigned begin date, regardless of condition, full credit minus a 10% cancellation fee will be given. If all video materials are received between 60 and 90 days of the assigned begin date, regardless of condition, full credit minus a 25% cancellation fee will be given. No credit will be issued for video material received after 90 days from the assigned begin date.

The customer is responsible for all program charges and monthly fees until all required video materials are returned.

Partial returns cannot be accepted on video instructions and enrollments.

Where and how do I return materials?

Send your materials to 5418 Rawson Lane, Pensacola, FL 32503 using UPS or motor freight. (Note: You’ll be responsible for the cost of return shipment unless you qualified for the 30-day money-back guarantee)

If required video materials are not received within 30 days of contacting Abeka to cancel, your video instruction and enrollment and applicable fees will be restored and the return authorization will be canceled.

Abeka cannot be responsible for any loss or damage incurred in return shipments. Shipments should be sent by UPS or motor freight.

How and when will I receive my refund?

You’ll receive a credit for your returned merchandise within four to six weeks.

If you paid by credit or debit card, the amount will be returned to that card.

If you paid by check or through a bank draft, you can request to receive your refund by check.

Refunds may be requested for account balances greater than $1.00.

Step 1: Assign a student to each video purchase.

If this is your first time with Abeka Academy, you’ll create a profile for the children you’re homeschooling through ABA, each with their own login. Then assign the appropriate video purchase to each student.

Step 2: Choose the format.

Choose either streaming video or DVD format. If you're concerned whether your Internet speed is sufficient, use our bandwidth tester by clicking here.

Step 3: A couple of bonus steps for parents of middle school or high school students.

Pick the courses they’ll take. Also, if you purchased books with your video program, choose whether you want printed textbooks or digital textbooks.

NOTE: Abeka has a recommended track of study for each grade but we offer you flexibility in the classes you choose for your teen.

Step 4: Pick your start date.

You can start any day of the week and choose a different start date for each child you enroll. We’ll set up a schedule designed to finish 10 months from your start date. But you’ll have a full 12 months to complete it if you need to.

NOTE: Don’t be surprised if the first few weeks are grayed out. We need some time to deliver your books.

Step 5: The video homeschool agreement.

After you read over the agreement, click “Yes, I agree” and leave your digital signature. NOTE: If you selected unaccredited, that’s it. You’re done. If you picked accredited, keep reading.

Step 6: Proof of completion.

If you homeschooled your child, you’ll provide a detailed list of the course information that is needed to ensure that your child has successfully completed the subjects necessary to begin. You can enter the course information into the online form or complete and return a Proof of Completion form to ABATranscripts@abeka.com. Once you’ve completed this step, you’re done!
